Das Brush — 150 days later
What’s new since launch, through version 18.0.
Das Brush has been growing since launch, with new assets to explore, finer control over every curve, and more ways to bring your own artwork into a scene.
An expanding reference collection
Ropes, braided cords, jewelry chains and razor wire have joined the library, alongside new snakes, snake skeletons, human anatomical models and butterflies. New preset scenes offer starting points for experimenting.
More control over your shapes
Refine how thickness and depth change along a curve with editable ramps, reposition profiles along your strokes, and shape tips, tails and spirals with finer controls. Brush strength and radius sliders put adjustments directly in the viewport.
Your models, textures and lighting
Import your own GLB and OBJ models, work with transparent textures, and design custom butterfly wings using downloadable templates. New studio environments, coloured lights and a rim light expand your lighting options, with live material previews to help you judge changes.
An easier scene workflow
A new Layers panel brings scene organisation together, with naming, visibility and material controls. Camera navigation, file management and curve editing have also been refined, while larger renders now use less memory and show clearer progress.
